Essendine residents and firms help to fund defibrillator
Generous donations from businesses and residents have paid for a defibrillator in Essendine.
The lifesaving machine, fitted to the wall of the village hall, was unveiled on Wednesday last week. The ceremony, which involved those who had helped raise more than £2,000, was followed by two “familiarisation” sessions to show people how to use the equipment.
Adele Stainsby, who led the fundraising, said: “We hope we never have to use it, but if we do, it’s here.
“We are truly grateful to the village businesses and residents that kindly donated.”
