Witham-on-the-Hill family will watch England v Italy Euro 2020 final match at Wembley after taking a punt to get tickets
A family's dedication to the nation's football team has paid off as they bagged tickets to the Euro 2020 final.
The Baines family, from Witham-on-the-Hill, like many football fans, was keen to see England play in the Euros.
Ahead of the Germany game Jo and Richie Baines purchased semi-final and final tickets for themselves, daughter Ella, 19, and her boyfriend, Max.
"It feels absolutely unbelievable," said Jo, 54.
"We took a massive punt to book tickets before the Germany game.
"My husband has been a [Nottingham Forest] football fan all his life and wanted to make sure we all got to go.
"I just want to be there now and obviously we want England to win.
"The chance to be at the final in my lifetime, my husband and I were born in the 60s, is amazing."
The family, are all fully-vaccinated, easing some of their concerns about the covid risk from being in a stadium full of people.
Jo said: "The atmosphere in Wembley is amazing - they've done it really well."
It is the first time England has played in the Euro finals, having only ever made the final of one major international tournament - The World Cup in 1966.
Jo said: "[The team] is well managed and they don't panic.
"They play on the ground like they are meant to."
Ella added that she predicts England will be victorious and win the match against Italy 2-1.
