Stamford fire crew take part in training exercise at Cummins Generator Technologies

The two appliances from Stamford Fire Station took part in a training session at Cummins Generator Technologies on Monday night.

The exercise was to train with breathing apparatus at the Ryhall Road site and was the first one away from the station, based in New Cross Road, after some Covid-19 restrictions were lifted.

Strict covid measures were in place to allow the training to go ahead.

Crew manager David Vines said: "Thank you to Cummins for allowing access to site, under strict covid measures, for our training exercise. It was very beneficial and positive to maintain our high competence for our crews and the continued development of our new firefighters.

"We shall continue to maintain links with Cummins for future exercises."
