Coronavirus: number of Covid-19 cases in Lincolnshire and Rutland rises by 12 over weekend




Five further cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the South Kesteven and Rutland area today (Monday), taking account of the weekend figures.

South Kesteven has seen a rise of four cases since Thursday last week, up from 407 cases to 411, while Rutland saw an increase of one, with 99 people having tested positive since the start of the year.

In Lincolnshire as a whole, 2,504 people have tested positive so far. This includes testing in hospital and tests carried out using home kits and at drive-in centres.

Nationally, cases passed the 300,000 mark today, rising by 685 to 300,111.

There were seven deaths of people with Covid-19 confirmed nationally, bringing the total to 45,759.
