Laughter yoga at the Wellhead in Bourne raises money for counselling services at Don't Lose Hope

An afternoon of laughter yoga took place in Bourne to support a new mental health service.

Leader Linda Nightingale organised the event on Sunday in aid of the Don't Lose Hope centre.

The centre in North Street will offer a range of affordable counselling sessions and initiatives which founder Nicola Brister felt were lacking in the town.

Linda, who is an ambassador for laughter yoga, organised games, meditation and breathing exercises.

She said: " We enjoyed a great fun session. It was rather chilly as we started but all the feedback was very good."

Donations from the day were collected by the Don't Lose Hope team.

Linda added: "Whatever we raised was good but it's raising the profile of the centre and its potential benefits that is also vitally important."

The Don't Lose Hope centre hosted an open evening to showcase its services last month.
