Cottesmore Village Hall Trust gets funding from FCC Communities Foundation

Funding is set to bring improvements to a village community hub.

Cottesmore Village Hall Trust, which runs the community centre has received a grant of about £16,760 from the FCC Communities Foundation.

The grant funding money is to be used to replace and upgrade the original 1970s kitchen, which was dated and lacking in modern facilities.

The investment will see the entire kitchen cleared of the original units, equipment, floor, and repairs to the leaking skylight before the installation of a new floor, kitchen units, creating an enhanced workspace with new electrical equipment, sink and retiling.

Ian Pluck, treasurer of Cottesmore Village Hall Trust, said: “This project will provide a real boost to the people of Cottesmore looking to hire and use the kitchen facilities within the Community Centre.

“It’s fantastic that FCC Communities Foundation has awarded us this money and we’re really looking forward to our new modern fitted kitchen taking shape over the next couple of months.”
