Wing Hall Shepherd's huts to go before planners
A campsite is set to find out if it can keep one of its most popular features.
The shepherd’s huts at Wing Hall estate in Wing were installed last summer and have been used regularly by guests.
The huts, which cost £85 for a night’s stay, offer a more comfortable alternative to camping and have been particularly popular with the campsite’s older visitors.
They are fitted with twin beds and guests are provided with a charcoal barbecue and firepit.
Tonight (March 10) Rutland County Council’s planning and licensing committee will decide whether to grant the campsite permission to keep the huts.
A spokesman for Wing Hall campsite said it was confident of getting the green light.
