General Election 2019: South Holland and the Deepings ballot boxes have arrived
The 69 ballot boxes have been collected from polling stations around South Holland and the Deepings.
Residents have been heading into polling stations in towns and villages across the area to cast their vote in the first winter election in more than a century.
Martin Blake (Green), Sir John Hayes (Con), Davina Kirby (Lib Dem), Mark Popple (Lab) and Rick Stringer (Ind) have been campaigning for votes over the last few weeks.
Counters at Springfields Exhibition and Conference Centre are currently ploughing through the boxes under the verification process.
This process, which checks that the numbers match, is due to take an hour before counting begins.
Turnout has been confirmed as 65 per cent which is slightly down on the 2017 turn out.
