Rumble Live Action Gaming opens at Rutland Water
Footballers and community groups were among the first people to try out a new gaming arena at Rutland Water.
Rumble Live Action Gaming opened at Sykes Lane on Saturday, offering players the chance to combine their technology skills with fresh air and exercise.
Owned by Jacquie Rumble and her son Joe, it is the second branch of Rumble Live, which opened at Grafham Water in Cambridgeshire in 2019.
The game is set over 16,000sq m of woodland and uses laser guns which can transform into more than 100 types of weapon with a range of 200m.
Games are suitable for over eights and are hosted by Rumble rangers, who set five different challenges.
After a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a blast of Ant and Dec's chart-topper Let's Get Ready to Rhumble, the games commenced.
Players from the Blackstones U12s team took on the Royce Rangers U12s from Oakham in the first session, which included five missions within an hour.
Later slots were filled with bloggers and members of invited community groups before the venue opened to the public on Sunday.
Jacquie said: "It's lovely to see families playing together."
The venue currently has one playing arena, but a second id due to open by the summer.
The attraction will open every weekend between March and November, with extra sessions during school holidays.
