Charles and Dean in Stamford wins Customer Care award at Rutland & Stamford Mercury Business Awards 2022

A firm that has nothing but positive reviews took home the award for Customer Care at the Rutland & Stamford Mercury Business Awards 2022.

Stamford-based finance broker Charles and Dean was the winner after judges from category sponsor Bluebird Care looked at online reviews to try and separate them from the other finalists - Peters’ Cleaners in Stamford and WH Munton butchers in Manthorpe.

Tim, from Bluebird Care, said Charles and Dean had proved the “customer really is at the very core of everything they do”.

He added: “They are a truly great business, providing a personal service to all their customers, always contactable and always providing an incredible level of customer service.”

Office manager Alice Thomas and senior accounts manager Kevin Calkiewicz went on stage to collect the award and afterwards, Alice said the team were “over the moon”.

“We have attended the awards before but to come back after a couple of years away and win Customer Care is absolutely incredible.”

Host Matt Biggin drew laughted from the crowd when he introduced Tim Carey from Bluebird Carey up to the stage as Jim Carrey, an American actor.

Alice added: “When Jim-slash-Tim mentioned the reviews, that meant the absolute world to us because putting the customer first is at the front of everything we do.

“But we still couldn’t believe it when he said our name - we are so delighted and this trophy will take pride of place in our office.”
