Members of the Ketton Darby and Joan Club celebrated 70 years since the group was founded.

The celebrations took place at Northwick Hall on Thursday last week and were attended by the Lord Lieutenant of Rutland, Dr Sarah Furness.

Tributes were made to the founding members of the group, Florence Sivers and Margaret Ward, and a poem, which was recited at the group's first meeting in December 1949, read out.
