Rainbows, brownies and guides from the Stamford area celebrate the 60th anniversary of Girlguiding in Lincolnshire South with a walk at Burghley Park
Parents and children braved the rain to celebrate a milestone in Guiding history.
Rainbows, brownies and guides from groups in and around Stamford took part in a celebratory walk at Burghley Park.
It is the 60th anniversary of Girlguiding in Lincolnshire South and county commissioner Julia Winstanley has set herself a challenge to walk around each district.
She joined the girls, parents and leaders for a stroll around the parkland on Sunday.
They walked 2.7 miles from Burghley House to the cricket ground before returning via Bottle Lodges
Julia said: "The girls were absolutely fantastic and all in good spirits."
Welland division commissioner Karen Armstrong added: "In spite of the weather we had a good ramble and smiled and laughed through the showers."
