Apple’s Safari web browser has suddenly begun crashing on iPhones, iPads and Macs.
The web browser crashes when a user tries to type into the address bar, and in some cases without any action from the user at all.
Tech sites across the internet are reporting that the issue is related to the Safari’s search suggestions feature, although this doesn’t appear to be affecting all devices.
If you are affected, here is how to fix it …
On your iPhone or iPad, go into Settings, tap Safari, and switch off the Safari Suggestions option.
Other users have opted to download an alternative browser such as Google Chrome.
