Crews from Oakham, Grantham and Melton Mowbray tackled fire in Wymondham




Firefighters attended a serious house fire in a village.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue received reports yesterday afternoon (August 31) of a fire at a property in Wymondham.

The blaze started on the first floor and the roof had caught well alight.

Two crews from Oakham as well as firefighters from Melton Mowbray and Grantham attended.

Throughout the night four relief pumps were also sent to the scene.

A building inspector and a fire investigator are examining the property this morning (August 1).
