Stamford mum-of-two reveals how exercise company Bounce changed her life
A Stamford mum-of-two says running an exercise company has put ‘bounce’ into her life.
After 15 years of working in recruitment and newspaper sales, Michelle Fitzmaurice says she has now achieved a work-life balance.
The 38-year-old launched her first two franchises in November 2016 in Peterborough and within a few months was a full-time franchisee, driving a Bounce truck to and from her six franchises and wearing Bounce leggings.
Now, she is general manager of the Bounce group, overseeing growth in the UK, New Zealand and Australian.
Michelle said: “My story is living proof that if you work hard enough, you can make your dreams happen and spend quality time with your family in the process.”
In 2016, Michelle also launched classes in Stamford, which she says are the only group exercise offering mini trampolines in the area.
She aims to make fitness fun and says more han 1500 people bounced to music with her in Stamford in 2019.
The exercise is claimed to be child-friendly, which Michelle predicts will be the next gym and fitness trend, as such classes tend to preclude parents.
Bounce involves trampoline motions to build core body strength and detoxify the body as the lymphatic system is pumped as we jump.
It means weight loss up to three times faster than floor-based methods do the the addition of gravity and G-force.
Michelle says she has found the classes to be fun as well as good for her health, making her keen to promote the benefits of Bounce.
Franchising with Bounce is ‘totally scalable’ with some people working part-time on a single franchise and others taking on more.
Until last week, her Stamford classes took place at Rhino’s Gym on the Gwash Way Industrial Estate, but last week they relocated to Fusion 3 Fitness in Cherryholt Road.
Michelle added: “We’re looking for venues in Bourne, Grantham, and Newark in 2020.
“I’m always looking out for new instructors if anyone is considering a change in career or direction next year.”
