The 70-year-old, who used to work at Stamford Endowed Schools, said: "I was really surprised when I saw it because I didn't know what bird it was and you don't expect to see it.
"There was another car coming the other way and we both had to stop because it was between us.
"My daughter has just arrived here from Australia and we wondered if she had brought a stowaway with her!
"You do worry if he is going to cause an accident.
"When he went missing, I did wonder if I would ever see him and now I have.
"I'm surprise he's outside because the weather at the moment is quite inhospitable and you do wonder what he's doing for food."
Inca has been on the run since July after getting spooked by farm machinery and a lot of other Mercury readers have called in to say they have seen him.
