Lantern walk around Oakham celebrates changing seasons

A lantern-making workshop is taking place this weekend ahead of a procession next week.

Organiser Clare Caro hosted a lantern walk for the first time last year which attracted around 200 people but expects this year's to be bigger.

She said: "It's about building communities, celebrating the changing of the seasons and making memories."

The workshop takes place tomorrow (Saturday) from 10am until 1pm at Oakham Castle.

The cost is £2.50 per lantern.

The walk takes place on Saturday, November 10 at 4.40pm from All Saint's Church, Oakham.
