Pride Month celebrated at Deepings Library with Rainbow Day

Inclusiveness and diversity were celebrated as Deepings Library marked Pride Month with a colourful event last week.

The library welcomed than 300 visitors through its doors for its first LGBTQIA Rainbow Day.

Staff at the library put on face painting, craft activities and two storytime sessions with stories encouraging its audience to be themselves and be proud of who they are.

Pride merchandise was also sold and guests tucked into homemade cakes.

"We welcomed over 300 people during the day who thoroughly enjoyed themselves," said Library co-ordinator Louisa Crowson.

"The Deepings Library is a welcoming and inclusive place for everyone. We hope to do it all again next year."
