Ragdale Hall Spa launches special packages to mark its 50th anniversary
A luxury spa which started life as a health farm is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Ragdale Hall Spa has created a range of special packages to mark the occasion.
The luxury experiences on offer are a far cry from the services available at its opening in 1973.
Starting life as a Slimming World centre, guests at Ragdale would be weighed in and weighed out following a 500-calorie a day menu, exercise classes and classic treatments.
In 1984 the venue was bought by Leisure Investments and later taken over by Garry Nesbitt and Michael Issacs, each time moving a step closer to the all-round wellness experiences people enjoy today. The spa now has a range of indoor and outdoor pools, 12 heat and water experiences in the thermal spa, a dining room, cocktail bar, treatment rooms, gym and bedrooms.
Never wanting to stand still for long, the directors next plan to develop the outdoor area and upgrade more of the bedrooms.
Human resources director Allison Garner said: “We’re always looking at how we can stay current or get ahead of the trends. People get excited when there is something new for them to enjoy.”
The spa has more than 500 members of staff including 120 beauty therapists.
The new anniversary packages have been curated to help people relax, recharge and restore.
Managing director Hugh Wilson said: “We’re thrilled to be launching our limited-edition luxury spa packages to coincide with our 50th anniversary celebrations. Each package has been created to offer our guests the ultimate spa experience whilst marking this momentous occasion in a truly memorable way.”
Anniversary packages start from £220 per person and are available to book until August 31 via www.ragdalehall.co.uk or 01664 433000.
