Man arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving on Helpston level crossing




A man has been arrested following an incident of alleged dangerous driving on a railway crossing.

Police officers were called to the level crossing on Glinton Road in Helpston shortly after 4.30pm on Thursday (July 30) following reports of a crash.

A spokesman for British Transport Police confirmed a man in his thirties was then arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, drink driving, obstructing the railway, endangering the safety of the railway and criminal damage.

He has been taken to police custody for questioning.

Delaine Buses tweeted yesterday that several of its services were held up due to the incident.
