Police arrest a man in Stamford following reports of someone trying car door handles overnight

A man has been arrested on suspicion of vehicle crime following reports of someone trying car door handles in the Banks Crescent area of Stamford.

The incident was reported to police at about 3am this morning (Tuesday, June 23).

A 33-year-old man of no fixed abode is in police custody awaiting questioning.

Drivers are reminded to keep their vehicles locked and remove valuables overnight.
