Stamford man denies going into Casterton Stores with machete




A Stamford man will stand trial on a charge of having a large knife on him in a town shop.

Jonathon Regis, 42, is accused of possession of the machete in Casterton Stores, Little Casterton Road, on January 5.

He pleaded not guilty to the offence when he appeared before Boston Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Wednesday, February 8).

Regis, of Airedale Road, elected trial at magistrates’ court.

He is due to return to the court on April 28.

His unconditional bail was extended to the trial date.
