Horse punched in face in field off Tinwell Road in Stamford




Police are appealing for information after a horse was reported to have been punched in the face.

Officers were called to a paddock close off Tinwell Road, close to the A1 junction, on Tuesday August 13.

A passer by said they saw four or five men in their 20s in the field, and one of the men was seen to punch a horse in the face.

After the incident the horses seemed calm and uninjured, according to police, who arrived within four minutes of the call. The men had disappeared.

The field is surrounded by an electric fence and owners of the horses have been told about the incident.
