Market Deeping A15 road crash victim to be formally identified next week
A post-mortem is to be carried out early next week on a man who died in a crash between a car and a lorry on the A15 Market Deeping bypass.
The man was driving a car when it collided with a skip lorry at a roundabout while travelling towards Langtoft.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene, but the lorry driver was treated for minor injuries before he was taken to Peterborough City Hospital.
A spokesman for South Lincolnshire Coroner’s Office also confirmed that a post-mortem would be carried out on Tuesday on the body of former Mayor of Market Deeping, Coun Reg Howard, who died after being involved in a crash near Northorpe on Monday.
Coun Howard, who was also chairman of South Kesteven District Council, was driving a Kia Picanto when it collided with a Mitsubishi L200 pick-up at the A151/A15 roundabout near the Elsea Woods housing estate in Bourne.
An air ambulance flew Coun Howard to Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham, where he died on Tuesday morning.
