Rutland MP gives birth to second child

Rutland MP Alicia Kearns has welcomed her second child.

Mrs Kearns (Con) revealed the happy news on Twitter on Tuesday, saying: “We’re delighted to announce the safe arrival of our second child.

“While my family and I take some time to welcome our new arrival, my phenomenal team will continue to support constituents by email and phone and I will be in daily contact with them to help residents.”

Mrs Kearns lives in Langham with her husband and son.

During her pregnancy, she campaigned for the rights of pregnant women to have a partner with them during every stage of the birthing process during the coronavirus pandemic.
