Stamford mum appeals for help to trace a missing quilt with sentimental value
A mum has appealed for help to find a missing quilt which was specially made for her children.
Ifigenia Quesada fears the much-loved creation could have been accidentally placed in a charity donation bag.
The quilt features an array of brightly-coloured animals and has huge sentimental value to the family.
Ifigenia, of Oxford Road, Stamford, said: "My mum made the quilt for my children and they loved it. The day she gave it to them, they were making all the different animal noises.
"It is absolutely priceless because mum put so much love and effort into it. I'm gutted to have lost it."
Ifigenia's mum Leonor presented the gift to Mateo, five, and three-year-old Lucia last summer.
It was safely packed away in a drawer while the family had building work done at their home.
At Christmas, Ifigenia went to look for it to show her sister, but it wasn't in the drawer where she left it.
She has since searched every inch of the house but failed to find it.
She said: "I feel so guilty. My mum said not to worry and to think about how happy another child will be if they now have it, but I'd love for my children to have something so special that she made for them.
"I really hope we can find it. I can only think it might have been put in a charity bag by mistake."
Anyone who sees the quilt can contact Ifigenia by email at: ifigenia.quesada@gmail.com
She will reimburse anyone who bought it.
