Bourne neighbours enjoy doorstep zumba classes during lockdown
A zumba teacher is lifting people's spirits by hosting doorstep dance classes for her neighbours.
Eight residents of Leytonstone Lane in Bourne dusted off their gym kits to join Claire Colman for a weekend workout.
She had been hosting online Zoom classes from her living room but soon attracted attention from neighbours who heard her whooping through the open windows.
Claire said: "A neighbour came to see what was happening so I asked if she wanted to join in.
"After that I messaged a few more people and now I'm running sessions from my front door."
Claire runs the 45-minute class at midday on Sundays.
She said: "One lady told me she really looks forward to Sundays now. It's just a bit of a giggle."
Carly Dadge is one of the new recruits.
She said: "It's fantastic. I didn't even know Claire was a zumba teacher until now, but this has brought us all together which is great.
"I'm currently working from home and looking after two children while my husband goes out to work, so this is a nice break."
