Starbucks opens in Bourne Sainsbury's
A coffee chain has opened in a town supermarket.
Starbucks staff are ready to make coffee for residents in Bourne with a new store at Sainsbury's supermarket in Exeter Street.
The café was officially opened by mayor of Bourne Coun Anna Kelly at 9am this morning (June 30).
While cutting the ribbon to mark the opening, Coun Kelly said: "I think people are really glad to have a coffee bar back open here."
Starbucks has replaced a former Sainsbury's café which closed during the pandemic.
This is the second Starbucks to open in the area, with one opening in Stamford on Monday (June 27).
Anne Coleman, district manager for Starbucks, is 'very excited' about the new store.
She said: "We have received a number of positive comments about this store and people are saying that it is nice to have a café back here."
The firm is still recruiting for the store, which has so far created 10 jobs for the town.
To celebrate the opening, staff at the store are offering gift bags to the first 100 customers.
Four-legged friends are welcome to join and people are able to grab their coffee and snacks from 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and between 10am and 4pm on Sundays.
