Business owners from Hunters Interiors launch The Hayloft Café in Uffington near Stamford
Two business owners have opened a homely new café to complement their existing enterprise.
Candida Smith and Georgina Teesdale relocated Hunters Interiors towards the end of last year, so that it occupies a larger showroom within the same converted farm off Deeping Road in Uffington. Having achieved this, they decided to offer something a little extra too.
To welcome the new year, The Hayloft Café was launched, which offers customers cakes, scones, savouries and light lunches, as well as a choice of hot and cold drinks.
Debbie Stoddart, spokesman for Hunters Interiors, said: “The café is next to the interior design showroom and, as you can imagine, it’s beautifully designed itself with lots of cosy touches.
“It’s a very relaxing space, with lovely music playing to give it the right feel, as well as inspirational gift items such as candle holders that customers might be tempted by.”
Debbie said the aim was to look after existing customers, and to attract new visitors to Hunters Interiors, including people who live in Uffington, or who are travelling between Stamford and Market Deeping.
“The cakes at The Hayloft Café are supplied by the lady who supplies The Fine Food Store in Stamford, and we will also be offering soups, salads and light lunches, while the scones and savouries are from Hambleton Bakery.
“We’ve also received lots of good feedback on the coffee that is served, from Market Harborough firm Carrera Coffee, and we offer lots of choice including lattes and cappuccinos.”
Hunters Interiors was established in 2001 as an interior design service, with showroom and online store.
The Hayloft Café is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am until 4pm, and from 9.30am to 4pm on Saturdays.
