Night aircraft activity at RAF Wittering
Pyrotechnics will be used at RAF Wittering as part of a large aircraft exercise.
There will be large aircrafts taking to the skies and pyrotechnics in use at RAF Wittering from Sunday to Friday (May 14 to 19) and the following week from May 22 to 26.
It is essential for RAF personnel to be trained in “different conditions” to ensure success in air operations.
Wing Commander Nikki Duncan said: “I am deeply conscious that night flying and the use of pyrotechnics can be disturbing, however it is an essential part of the training required by RAF aircraft and its personnel to support operations.”
