Nurses at Animates Veterinary Clinic will offer round-the-clock care
Animates Veterinary Clinic, a veterinary practice with clinics in Thurlby and Market Deeping, is to become the first in the local area to offer 24-hour hospital care to its patients.
From August 1, a registered veterinary nurse will be on duty at the practice’s Thurlby clinic around the clock, 365 days a year, to ensure a high standard of care is provided by qualified staff for patients needing hospitalisation.
Vet Rebecca Kuttel said this was going “one step further” than what clinics have to provide and said she had been working to make sure the resources were in place.
She added: “While we have always ensured that critical patients received the intensive care they need, we feel this is a huge step towards offering the highest possible standard of care as it means our patients will be medicated, fed and exercised as needed throughout the night.”
