Oakham In Bloom receives chairman's badge from anonymous donor

An anonymous donor has bought a badge of office for the chairman of Oakham In Bloom.

Chris Morten received the new badge from the group's longest-serving member, Derek Bilby, this week.

The badge is decorated with bars displaying the names of everyone who has previously held the position during the group's history. It will be worn at every civic function in the future.

A spokesman said: "Oakham in Bloom members send our thanks and best wishes to the person who donated this item."

Oakham In Bloom was established in August 1997.
