Opening date revealed for Brook Taverner to open in Stamford
A new menswear store has revealed when it will open in Stamford.
Brook Taverner will open its seventh retail store in the High Street on March 28.
Marketing manager Jack Dickety said Stamford had been selected as a key destination when the chain decided in early 2019 to expand. It had previously been operating as a mail order outlet and selling directly to wholesalers, including Audi and Skipton Building Society for their staff uniforms.
At the time it had three stores in Scotland and has since opened a further three stores in Yorkshire, with the last being in Beverley in June last year.
Jack said: "We're really excited to be opening in Stamford. We looked at different areas to open new branches and Stamford seemed like the perfect place where people are still really invested in their high street and it fits in with our country clothing ethos."
Jack was unable to say how many people would be employed at the Stamford branch.
Work has been going on to refit the store, which was formerly occupied by Steamer Trading Cookshop and closed in May 2019.
The opening leaves just a handful of units not occupied in the High Street, including the one previously occupied by Anand Shoes which relocated.
Subway recently reopened its doors after a period of closure.
