McDonald's in Oakham is recommended for approval by Rutland County Council planning officers
Plans for a county's first branch of McDonald's have received a green light from planners.
The fast food giant wants to build Rutland's first restaurant on Lands' End Way in Oakham and the application will go before members of Rutland County Council's planning and licensing committee on Tuesday, January 14.
Planning officers from the county council have recommend councillors approve the application subjection to conditions at the meeting which starts at 6pm in the Council Chamber in Oakham.
Should they approve the application, Rutland will be the last English county to get a McDonald's.
