Police confirm the sudden death of a man in Stamford




Police have confirmed reports of a sudden death in Kesteven Road, Stamford, on Friday evening (December 20).

Five emergency vehicles were called to the scene near the garages where a man in his 50s was pronounced dead.

A spokesman for the East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 6.54pm to Kesteven Road in Stamford. The caller reported a medical emergency.

"We sent two Lives community first responders, two ambulances and a paramedic in a fast response car.”

Lincolnshire Police confirmed the man had died.

A spokesman said: "We received a report of a sudden death in the Kesteven Road area of Stamford. A man in his 50s was pronounced dead.

"It was reported at 7.43pm to us by the East Midlands Ambulance Service.

"This death is not being treated as suspicious and the matter has been passed to the coroner."
