Police desk opens at Rutland County Council offices in Oakham
People can now speak to a police officer at council offices.
A new police front enquiry desk opened at Rutland County Council’s Catmose offices in Oakham today (Wednesday).
The existing police station is due to close in the new year, with officers moving to a new and smaller building currently under construction in the adjacent car park.
The desk at Catmose is now open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm. The council’s customer service team will continue their current weekday hours of 8.30am to 5pm (4.30pm Fridays).
There is a private room in the council reception area for anyone wishing to talk to the police in confidence. A phone has been installed on the outside of the building so people can contact police when the offices are closed.
