Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit to escort yacht from Oundle to near Cambridge




A police escort will pass through the area this morning (Friday, June 9).

It is not royalty or a high profile politician officers will be ensuring gets to safety - instead it is a yacht.

Specialist officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit will be following the yacht as it makes its journey on the back of a lorry starting from Oundle.

Officers from Norfolk and Suffolk will take over the escort when it reaches north of Cambridge.

A police spokesperson said: “Any delays will be kept to a minimum, we thank you for your patience.”
