Stamford primary schools poll: do you think the town needs another school?

Lincolnshire County Council has predicted that Stamford won't need a new primary school for at least the next few years.

A "bulge year" of reception aged children in 2018 resulted in Malcolm Sargent Primary School taking on an extra class, but the council said figures have dropped to a normal level this year.

Proposed housing developments in the town could present the need for a new school in the future but the council says "we are a number of years from that yet".

But do you think the town needs a new primary school now? Have your say in our poll.
