Possible redundancies at the Cummins sites on Ryhall Road in Stamford and Peterborough
Cummins has today announced (October 3) it is starting a consultation with its staff about possible redundancies at its Stamford site on Ryhall Road and also in Peterborough.
This process will impact a limited number of positions at both sites.
Cummins have said this will affect no more than 50 jobs in Stamford and Peterborough.
A spokesman for Cummins said: "This is an extremely difficult decision to begin consultation for possible redundancy affecting a limited number of roles at our Peterborough and Stamford sites.
"We recognise the uncertainty that this process will create for our staff, and will seek to provide as much support as possible for any employees that are affected.
“However, as a business it is critical that we are able to respond to changing market conditions, and consistently strive to improve competitiveness, in order to strengthen our position when markets return to growth.”
