Elements heath food shop is coming to Orange Street in Uppingham and will also act as a deli and cafe
A former picture gallery in Uppingham is to become a deli/cafe/health food store.
Rutland County Council has approved Dean Clarke’s plans to turn 6 Orange Street - next door to his Orange Street Practice - into a health food shop.
Number 6 is currently a picture framing business and the building was once a chapel.
Dean Clarke says the cafe and health food will represent an expansion of his practice, which is a ‘holistic’ centre offering a range of therapeutic treatments including acupuncture and massage.
The cafe, which will be called Elements, will be organic where possible, and will serve hot and cold drinks, plus cold prepared foods and snacks, cakes and sandwiches.
Dean says work should start this week on the site, with the new venue open in early November.
