Care home in Tallington opens new extension
A care home has opened its own ‘pub’, installed a 12ft giraffe sculpture outside and opened a 31-bedroom extension.
The fun features, as well as an open day which took place on Sunday, are part of Tallington Lodge’s efforts to become more involved in the wider community.
Rabea Azad, customer relations manager at the home, said: “We are very excited to show people what a fantastic asset the new home will be for the village of Tallington.
“We already have great relationships with various local groups, schools and churches. The new home will give us much more space and a fantastic venue to invite more community groups to join our residents for events.”
The new front extension to the original Regency period rectory includes 31 bedrooms, the ‘Railway Inn pub’, a café and a new lounge and dining areas.
