As part of Children’s Book Week pupils from across Rutland enjoyed an exciting day at Oakham Library with famous children’s author, Rose Impey.

Pupils from St Nicholas Primary in Cottesmore, Edith Weston Primary and English Martyrs Primary had the chance to meet author Rose Impey who is well known for her lively and funny children’s stories.

Diane Wright from Oakham Library said: “The children really enjoyed meeting Rose. She is a fantastic author and has written over 100 books. Rose read to the children along with telling them about how they themselves can get into writing.”

The library will also be hosting a number of story times in the summer holidays, for more information visit www.rutland.gov.uk/libraries
