Rutland Radio presenter, Sayeh Stone, releases Christmas book: Mr Brussel Fart
Author and radio presenter, Sayeh Stone, has just released her latest children's Christmas book.
Her book, Mr Brussel Fart, is a short rhyming story encouraging children to eat their sprouts at Christmas.
Sayeh - who is a presenter on Rutland Radio - started writing stories whilst on maternity leave, but after returning to her job, now spends her evenings writing.
She said: "Having a full time job as a radio presenter and being a mum, I sometimes ask myself when do I have the time? But if you want something bad enough and have a dream, then you'll make the time for it and keep grafting."
Last year Sayeh published her first Christmas book, Snotty Santa, and in 2016 released an educational book, Shaped Animals.
Sayeh, who lives in Exton, said: "Creating books for children is so magical, to be a part of their learning and to help encourage their imaginative thinking and enjoyment in reading is a huge pleasure and achievement for an author."
She added: "it's so important for children to feel books in their hand and feel the crease of paper."
The stories are brought to life with Sayeh's own illustration's and pre-recorded audiobooks.
Sayeh, 36, said: "I do absolutely everything myself, from creation to paper."
She added: "My daughter is my inspiration and my helper - she let's me know her opinions on my illustrations and stories."
The book can be purchased from Walkers Book shops in Stamford and Oakham or by messaging Books by Sayeh Stone on Facebook.
Sayeh will be reading at Waterside Garden Centre on Friday November 22 at 4.30pm, Brooke Hill Academy on Wednesday December 4, Oakham Library on Saturday December 14 at 10.30am, Rutland Farm Park Sunday December 15 at 11am and 1pm.
