These people are looking at Network Rail’s proposals to close road crossings on the East Coast Main Line at one of four public exhibitions.

The event at Helpston Village Hall on Tuesday, and Tallington Village Hall on Wednesday, were one of the last chances for residents to have their say on the plans.

And among the visitors to the public exhibition were Helpston parish councillors Joe Dobson, David Dykes and the clerk Syd Smith.

Network Rail propose replacing crossing with bridges at Tallington and Helpston and closing the other crossings at less used points.

A Network Rail spokesman said around 150 visitors had attended at each of the events held so far. There is another exhibition in Tallington village hall on January 31 from 11am to 2pm.
