Soup and Social at the Green School - St Guthlac's church hall - in Market Deeping is going from strength to strength
A monthly lunch club that meets at the Green School - St Guthlac’s church hall - in Market Deeping is going from strength to strength.
Soup and Social invites people to get together over a simple, tasty meal for a chat.
Co-ordinator Dorothy Harriss, said: “It’s been going very well since 2014 and we have regular clientlele who come along.
“It’s mainly older people who live on their own who come but there are also some couples there as well.
“We also have some of the residents from the local care home, Rose Lodge, and everyone comes for a chat and fellowship.
“Because of the facilities, we can only offer soup but it’s about getting people out and socialising together.
“That is as important as anything else.”
Soup and Social meets in the church hall from 12pm to 1.30pm and is normally held on the fourth Saturday of the month.
