Rutland Council warns of fraudsters

Rutland Council has warned of people to beware of fraudsters.

The council says it has received reports of someone pretending to be from Rutland Council and asking for personal information to process a refund.

A spokesperson said: " We’ll never ring you out of the blue to ask for personal data or bank details.

"If in doubt, hang up and call us on 01572 722 577 to check."
