Retailer supports local charity

A national outdoor clothing and equipment retailer has launched a campaign that will see its stores across the country support local charities.

Mountain Warehouse has launched a brand new collection of five printed canvas bags available to purchase in all United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland stores.

All of the profits from each bag sold will be donated to over 200 local charities, and each Mountain Warehouse store has nominated a charity to support.

Mountain Warehouse Gates Garden Centre has chosen The Lodge Trust as its nominated charity.

Supervisor Sharon Bradford said giving back was something that was close to their hearts.

“We want to play an active role in making a positive impact to the lives of the people around us, and in particular at a local level to all our stores around the world.

“At this shop we proudly support The Lodge Trust.”

At just £1.99 and available in five prints, the bags are not only eye-catching but are practical too; perfect for taking to a festival, a day at the beach or on your weekly food shop.

The company said it was passionate about supporting customers and the communities surrounding its stores and wanted to give “a little something back”.

“Each store has been asked to nominate a charity within their community, one they feel passionate about the work they do within their local area,” said a spokesperson.

“We have partnered with over 200 charities and we are thrilled to be working with them to raise awareness of the fantastic work they do.

The Lodge Trust CEO David Whitmarsh said they were highly appreciate of all donations.

Based in Market Overton the care service is home to 30 residents and also accommodates 15 day service users.

“Donations like this make a huge difference to our residents in ensuring they have a full and active life and go towards things like holidays with support staff,” said David.

Started in 1984, The Lodge Trust provides Christian support for adults with learning disabilities.
