Gessmann UK opens in Langtoft
A robotics company has opened a new manufacturing plant in Lincolnshire.
Gessmann, described by its German owners as a global leader in industrial operator controls and robotics, has set up in Langtoft.
The ribbon was cut at the new premises at the King Street Industrial Estate on Wednesday last week (February 28).
Managing director of Gessmann UK, Michael Worthington, said: “It was a fantastic day and we felt we had a lot of support from the community and local businesses.
“We attracted quite a few customers locally as well as from across the rest of the UK.

“It was a really successful launch - we don’t think it could have gone any better.”
Gessmann has been developing and producing products since the 1930s, with a headquarters in Germany and a number of other offices across Europe and America.
The decision to launch in the UK reflects Gessmann’s belief in the value of the British market and the potential for growth in the area.
Michael said: “I think for us it’s great to see another European company investing into the area, especially post-Brexit.”
The Langtoft base was chosen for its proximity to the A1.
Two members of staff are currently working at the site with further recruitment planned.
