Oakham Rugby Club players try their hand at modelling for Lands' End

Rugby players had a taste of the limelight when they modelled a new range of shirts for their sponsors.

Lands' End has launched a new range of rugby shirts for autumn and turned to its local team to model them for the new season's catalogue.

Ten players from Oakham Rugby Club stepped up to take part in the shoot ahead of a training session.

They modelled the company's jeans, chinos and new rugby shirts before the photographer captured action shots of them playing.

Lucie Jones, brand, PR and social media coordinator for Lands’ End, said: “The guys took modelling in their stride – they were naturals!

"The day of the shoot was really warm, so not ideal to be asking them to put on trousers and long sleeved rugby tops, but they did brilliantly and we were thrilled with how well the pictures turned out.”

Rugby club chairman Graeme King added: "Lands' End are our main sponsors. They make a massive contribution to the club and are a big part of ongoing success, so we were more than happy to help.

"The lads really enjoyed it and there was a few naturals amongst them."

Lands' End gathered some of the models together at its site in Oakham on Tuesday night to reveal the catalogue and present them with framed images from the shoot.

The new catalogue is out now. To celebrate Lands' End is offering a 40 per cent discount on its rugby shirts from tomorrow (Saturday) for one week only at the Oakham outlet store.
