Oakham in Bloom is running 'best gardens' competition 2019

Oakham in Bloom has launched its appeal for the Best Front Garden and Best Secret Garden in a competition for 2019.

They are inviting anyone who is willing for the local judges to view their handiwork to let Teresa Thompson know the details.

People can nominate their own gardens, or other gardens with the owner’s permission.

The judges will be viewing during August and will arrange a convenient time to visit the property.

l On June 2, 20 Oakham in Bloom volunteers took on their role as town gardeners when more than 2,500 plant were delivered at the rear of the library for Big Plant Day.

Their work is ongoing and working parties have been called for various days throughout the coming weeks.

The East Midland in Bloom judges will be in Oakham on July 4, so there is a call for ‘all hands on deck’ and any help will be much appreciated.
